Since ancient times anise has always been used by Mediterranean civilizations as an ingredient for the preparation of alcoholic beverages. 


From time to time anise is united with other ingredients that characterize its flavor, such as the ancient and transgressive Absinthe, favourite drink during Bohemian era of the accursed poets, or the most Provençale and recent Pastis born in the Occitan lands. 

The wise combination of the purest alcohol, the clear Alpine spring water, the flowers and fruits and the several distillations are at the basis of what Bordiga has been producing for a long time and was known at the end of the Nineteenth Century as “Vodcka“.
